Playgroup Survey for Amir

Bulan lepas survey kindy, now survey playgroup pulak.

Main objective masih sama, nak hantar Amir ke playschool biar dia socialize and learning through play.  Well, we both dah some sort made up our mind untuk hantar ke BBIM tapi ada a few issues if nak hantar dalam tahun ni. 1) Kalau nak hantar half-day, nanti takde orang nak fetch Amir from school and perlu jugak babysitter untuk jaga Amir after school. 2) If we go for fullday programme - which memang option yang ini kami akan opt, masalahnya kami masih ade kelas malam at least sampai awal tahun depan. Still akan ada masalah nak fetch Amir and hantar ke rumah babysitter. And still perlukan babysitter.

I'm more concerned about his social skills memandangkan kat rumah yang ada; mommy and baba. And I rasa pentingnya dia ada exposure about how school looks like and friends. Maka, terfikir pasal playgroup. Basically playgroup ni, kita nak arange sendiri pun boleh dengan kawan-kawan yang ada anak. Tapi somehow, I'm a bit particular about content. Amir pun ada 11 cousins sebelah mommy + 3 cousins belah baba hehee kalau balik kampung, itu playgroup yang terbaik.


Anyway, hasil survey pasal playgroup tak banyak. Especially yang ada content and flexible. Most of playschool programme adalah yang daily basis from any kindy. Tapi kadang-kadang kindy pun ada buat playgroup once in a while perhaps marketing strategy lah, tapi tak tetap masanya.


So yang ada offer playgroup session adalah Gymboree, Kid's e World and Ibu Family Resource Group.


Actually I'm more interested with Gymboree because the contents seem good. For Amir (21-22 months), ada program tersendiri which are - Music, play, Art

They have package:

RM1980  + RM180 (membership) - RM2160

Play class – 45 minutes  X 24 sessions

Music class – 45 minutes X 12 sessions

Art class – 1 hour X 12 sessions

Total 48 weeks

So maksudnya 1 session costs us RM45. Classes sangat flexible, kita boleh pilih masa and hari yang kita boleh pergi according to their timetable. Weekend pun boleh tapi selalunya ramai sangat. Katakan this week kita absent, boleh replace the following week. So 48 weeks tu tak semestinya habis dalam masa 48 minggu.

We can go for trial class, normally diorang akan advise enter Play class - RM65 for 45 minutes. If kita sign up for their package, the trial class is free. Here's a review for Gymboree. But this quite old, somewhere in 2009. Harga pun lain.

Next, Kid's e World. Tapi untuk umur macam Amir, diorang hanya offer 1 class sahaja - Kindermusik.

45 minutes per session costs RM45.

Package diorang adalah: RM525 for one semester (15 weeks) +RM210 (material) = RM745

As of today, takde ramai pun yang nak enroll program ni so kemungkinan besar diorang tak dapat nak offer kalau quantity student sikit.

Dan yang terakhir yg I rasa appropriate untuk share kat sini ialah  Ibu Family Resource Group. So far their playgroup is scheduled every Wednesday, 10-12pm. Murah pun murah, RM20 per child/session. Kalau jadi member, RM200 per year, rate for playgroup jadi RM10. Tapi yang ni pun macam takde content. When I asked, representative tu kata just main dekat play area yang ada kat situ with other kids. Kalau macamtu baik I pergi Sogo, kat children department tu play area Free atau kat Starz Garden, RM6 per hour.




So kalau nak consider content yang bagus, nampak gaya Gymboree yang attractive. Tapi kene bincang lebih mendalam lagi berkenaan fee dengan Finance Manager, Mr Zamil Syah Mustaffa.






Fuh, lagi sikit je lagi Amir nak masuk 2 tahun. Makin lama makin seronok melayan karenah dia. Walaupun tak berapa petah bercakap lagi, now dia dah start bertanya.. 'tu apa?' Pastu dia jawab sendiri. Atau purposely tanya benda yang dia dah tau. Hope Amir dah banyak belajar vocab especially from his CD. Tapi untuk construct ayat tu masih lagi struggle. Ayat paling panjang consists of 3 perkataan aje ;p 'Abang wash car'
'My (mi) dok kang (belakang)' halau mak dia dari front seat in the car.




Sebulan dua yang lepas, Ami dok mengajar Amir 'big' and 'small'. So sekarang dia dah boleh differentiate between those two words. Kalau kat atas jalan 'big lorry' 'big bus'. Dia lebih kerap guna 'big' maybe sebab small tu common la kan hehehe Everytime pun nak 'big ball'.






Cuma yang tak mahu di dengar, especially di luar... ataupun dengan adanya orang lain dalam keadaan itu... ialah.. 




Bila Amir differentiate... big nen... small nen.... LOL!
