Braxton Hicks
Baru hari Isnin lepas dapat email dari Whattoexpect pasal Braxton Hicks. But i don't bother to read further, yelah belum pernah kot rasa sakit contraction. And memang asyik fikir lama lagi ni.. Well, hari Selasa lepas.. pagi-pagi lagi rasa perut mengeras and a bit painful. I thought that was normal, I went to pee in case that can helps. Much better after that.. Tapi, around 10.50am, perut mengeras lagi and ada rasa cramp. I wonder what.. So I monitor, every 5 minutes perut akan mengeras and rasa cramp for about 20-30 seconds. Almost 2 jam jugak it last. I suddenly thought of Braxton Hicks, bila dah kurang sakit barulah terhegeh-hegeh nak ambil buku Whattoexpect nak baca pasal Braxton Hicks hehehe

Braxton Hicks is like rehearsal contractions. So they are not true labour. Tapi susah jugak nak differentiate when Braxton Hicks become more intense. At that time, I just fikir ni mesti Braxton Hicks je, tapi sakit yg datang 4-5 mins once tu buat I confuse jugak. So I asked a few friends, ada yang kata maybe Braxton Hicks but my sis in law asked me to consult with my gynae, because we can't really tell what's happening in there. Hmmm..nak tanya gynae pun malu ;p because I memang confident sakit acah-acah je tu, nnt gynae kate aku ni semangat sangat pulak kan. So I just baring and relax. Sejam je relax, and again sakit tu datang lagi, every 5 mins jugak and this time around memang sakit betul. I can see perut I mengeras and nampak pergerakan perut tu naik. Ouchhhh...

So I called Prof Hashim, and he asked me to go to emergency and perform CTG to check whether memang ada contraction atau tidak. Ok, sekarang ni saya memang cuak! I thought doc akan kata 'alah normal tu.. relax je..' instead he advised to go to emergency. Huhuhu.
Sepanjang jalan ke HUKM, I monitor lagi.. memang every 5 mins perut mengeras.. Oh, kamu nak keluar sekarang ke nak oi?

Emergency Ward
It took a while nak tunggu turn nak kene check. Memang berdebar-debar la masa tu. Camanelah CTG tu gamaknye kan, haritu tengok gak machine tu masa my sis in law tgh tunggu waktu nak deliver. Terfikir jugak kene 'seluk' kah aku hari ini? (Memang takde persoalan lain)
So sampailah turn saya dipanggil, i really hope sakit acah-acah je. And I rasa mesti diorang tak dpt detect any contraction from CTG machine tu. But I was wrong! Diorang detect ade contraction for every 2 mins. Glup! Mujur bila doc check dilation belum ada lagi.
Doc kat emergency kata I have to be admitted untuk di observe while diorang akan bagi ubat untuk stop the contraction. Otherwise takut contractions lead to dilation, it can cause preterm delivery. And it's very risky since I baru je 31 minggu 4 hari. Glup!
Selain tu, diorang ada bagi injection Steroid jugak untuk kuatkan lungs baby in case betul2 baby nak keluarkan.

Malam pertama di High Dependency Unit (H.D.U) di HUKM
Malam pertama memang tak best... lebih2 lagi di hospital ;p
I kena stay kat H.D.U with 4 other patients. I started to take Nifedipine - ubat untuk stop contraction. In my case, to halt the contractions is the best primary goal. Doc tak nak deliver premature baby. Plus, masa tu diorang takde incubator! Kebetulan ada banyak case premature labour. Haish...
Malam tu memang tak lelap tido, dengan sakit yang datang-datang. And kebetulan ada sorang kakak ni opposite my bed tengah kritikal. She's 30w pregnant, ada high blood pressure and tumpah darah. Hmm kalau dah ada sign tumpah darah or water breaks memang diorang tak boleh nak hold lagi and proceed with caesar nak keluarkan baby. It's like watching House at real scene! Huhu camane nak tido ni.. Doc and nurses pun sibuk keluar masuk nak attend case kakak ni. Bila kakak tu dah ditolak masuk ke operation theatre (OT) barulah boleh lelapkan mata. Tapi sekejap je.. H.D.U ni beberapa jengkal je dari labour room. Maka, sekali sekala terdengar la jeritan batin si ibu nak melahirkan anak. Ya, Allah! Tapi bila dengar suara baby nangis pulak, it's like membakar semangat la kononnye ;)

Sakit datang lagi dan situasi yang mengharukan
Dalam pukul 4 lebih saya terjaga, perut mengeras and sakit. Kalini lebih sakit lagi. And sakitnya lama around 45 mins tanpa henti. So I called nurse, nurse letak tangan atas perut and monitor. She said maybe selang 30 secs ni. Huhu..
Then I saw kakak kat depan katil tu dah ada kat katil dia, maybe dah selesai la kot operation. I terfikir, kakak tu 30w pun boleh deliver dah.. I hope my case ni, kalau betul2 kene deliver sekarang would be ok. Then I saw nurse bawak baby masuk pada kakak tu. I heard she was crying. Oh, touching! Bestnye dia dah hold baby dia..
Then I tanya nurse pasal kakak tu. Nurse kata baby dia dah expired - which means dah meninggal. I could not hold my tears. I was so scared. Baby, jangan keluar dulu..u are too fragile to be out here. I hope he listens..

2nd day at H.D.U
Pagi2 lagi Prof Hashim dah datang round. He's worried too since diorang still ada masalah facility for pre mature delivery. And I once in a while ada contraction. So kena continue ambil Nifedipine tu. 2nd day seems ok at first, since sakit at 4 something tu, then takde contraction lagi.
Langit tak selalunya cerah... huhu
Petang tu, about 5 something, sakit datang lagi. Hmmm sakitnya, tapi rasanya tu baru 1/4 dari sakit dah dekat nanti. Kebetulan Prof Hashim baru lepas keluar dari OT, dia suruh nurse bagi Pethidine to ease the pain. Masa ni Prof dah kata 50-50. kalau ada incubator etc dia mungkin dah induce.
Haish berapa kali kene inject kat bontot ni huhu.. Alhamdulillah after a while rasa kebas je and weng hehe.. Terus terlelap.

3rd day - Yeay boleh balik!!
Memang power sungguh Pethidine tu, Prof Hashim pukul 8 pagi dah sampai nak check, aku membuta lagi! Good thing is contraction dah takde lagi. Since dah macam ok, Prof kata dah boleh discharge tapi still kena ambil ubat stop contraction. Ah, I can't wait to come home.
So sekarang kene rehat kat rumah, I can't go to work for about 1 week. Next week ada checkup so Prof akan advise further on my condition.
